What’s your role at Just Support?
Hello! My name is Josie Page! I am a support worker with Just Support. I’m a 25-year-old trans woman, and I am extremely excited to be able to share my experiences with other trans people in need of support!
What inspired you to become a support worker?
I started transitioning around three years ago, and I very quickly realised that I wanted to help support trans youth through the complex needs of transitioning (and being queer in general) in today’s world. I was personally missing role models and support from trans people during my early experiences, and as a result I learned just how vital that kind of support can be. It is my mission to provide queer-appropriate support to as many people as I possibly can to prevent what happened to me from happening to others.
I also trained in nursing for around two years, which helped me develop a strong foundation in compassionate care and reinforced my desire to work in a field where I can support people in meaningful ways.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I really love getting to know new people, learning about people’s individual needs, and providing support in an effective and appropriate manner. I take pride in my ability to break the ice with new people.
What are your interests and hobbies outside of work?
Outside of work, I am a musician! I play guitar and love to sing, and I plan on playing more live performances and gigs in the future. I had crippling stage fright all through my adolescence, but have recently worked past a lot of it through transitioning and becoming more comfortable and confident in my own self-image. I also love cars, I keep up with the F1 (ew, I know) and own a little convertible sports car which I adore.
Do you have a hidden talent or fun fact?
My secret ability is probably my high ability to play FPS video games. None of my friends want to play against me because they know they’ll lose. Tragic, really.

I’m the Chief Quest Master around here, which means I get the awesome job of guiding our team and participants through incredible adventures in support and personal growth. I plot the course, steer the ship, and sometimes fight off dragons (metaphorically speaking).
Hi there! I’m Vanessa, and I’ve been enriching lives here as a support worker for over a year now. I specialize in supporting children and young people, focusing on academic studies, social skills, and active community participation. The best part? Our team’s wonderfully queer-friendly and nerdy vibe—it really makes Just Support feel like home.
